Kawakawa clean up.
Sun was shining and so was the Bay Of Islands kids exhausting with excitement. They excitement of leaving school to help our native environment in Aotearoa was busting all over in this yet to be beautiful town. The task of this class by the name of 9R lead by the fantastic teacher MRS higgins AKA richard. These year 9s were filled with energy to help the native ecosystem and awa. The fabulous kids went transporting on foot across different parts of KawaKawa while scavenging and collecting rubbish to attempt to save their fabulous landscape and at the same time to try and inspire other kids/schools to try and attempt the same thing.

  1. Hi Phoenix I am Mikaira from Paihia School. I like the way you described the year 9s exhausting with excitement because they are hungry but they are excited. What rubbish did you find?
